LPTN Statement on The Conflict In Israel

Your Libertarian Party of Tennessee EXCOM Board issued a statement on the war in Israel and wants you to know what we said. We suspect that the corporate media would rather feed the public what its overlords in government want you to see, rather than a bold and consistent libertarian position that is based on peace and non-intervention. Here’s the text of what we said:

Libertarian Party Of Tennessee’s Stance On Aid To Israel

Libertarians Call For End Of Funding For All Foreign Conflicts

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (November 1, 2023) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE- We at the Libertarian Party of Tennessee condemn the attacks from Hamas on innocent civilians in Israel. Any loss of innocent life taken in such a brutal manner is barbaric and any violence where civilians are targeted or killed is barbaric. That being said, the United States should not use taxpayer money to fund any side in Israel or any foreign conflict, and yes, that includes Ukraine and Taiwan. We also call for there to be no troops supplied to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, there should not be a single US soldier sent to die for Israel or any side for foreign nations abroad, that includes all. No matter what the history between the two is, the US shouldn’t take a side via the American taxpayer. The American should use their money to fund the side they choose, or even not at all if they don’t morally support the war that is being fought. Yes, the individual has the right to self defense, but not at the expense of other people’s wallets. We call for the end of any blockades of humanitarian aid and the funding of humanitarian aid blockades via the American taxpayer. That does not just call out either side in the Israel-Palestine conflict. The US government also bombs civilians, funds humanitarian blockades, arms and trains terrorists, props up authoritarian dictators, and forces sanctions on innocent civilians around the globe on your dollar. We not only call not to send military aid around to Israel, but we call on our federal government to not send aid to any country when we have problems domestically. Mainly families drowning because of rising cost of living.

The Libertarian Party of Tennessee believes the answer to America’s political problems is the same commitment to freedom that earned America its greatness: a free-market economy and the abundance and prosperity it brings; a dedication to civil liberties and personal freedom; and a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade.
